Having trouble making this combination work. The home page on my website includes the following:
<link href="/component/xmlrpc/rsd?format=xml" rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" title="RSD" />
  <link href="/component/xmlrpc/manifest?format=xml" rel="wlwmanifest" type="application/wlwmanifest+xml" />

I've followed other advice on the forums about making sure that plugins are active and the component configuration saved.

In live writer I choose "Other Services" then enter the home page and account details when creating a blog account. On pressing Next it contacts the site however it shows the following error info in a dialog:

Can't connect to your blog service:
Network Connection Error - Error attempting to connect to blog at:
http://mywebsite/component/xmlrpc/
RedirectMethod: See other
Please try fixing the problem and the try again

Any ideas how to resolve?

Thanks
Graeme English

Me too... I've problems with the same combination.
I'm able to send new posts to my joomla website but I can't choose the category.
I get an error that says the server response is bad with the method wp.getCategory().

It's also impossible to edit previous posts.

I've tested also XMLRPC 1.7 and 2 different joomla installaion on 2 different servers with the same result.

Any ideas?
Fabio
