mt_xmlrpc MovableType XML-RPC 2.3.3 Plugin for Joomla!1.5 Released

Bug fix

  • pass-by-reference
  • support ftp mode upload if ftp mode is enabled

How to install and upgrade

  • normal install

MovableType XML-RPC

29 Movabletype plugin 2.3.3
Hi Joomler

First of all, thank you for the movabletype plugin that I want to use with Joomla 1.5.18. However, there's one thing I just can't seem to get to work and that is using it in combination with Wavelog (on my Nokia N95 8Gb mobile)

In Joomla I enabled webservices. In the plugin I set [Autopublish] to [Yes] and chose single category publishing. On the Wavelog end, I used several URLS to enable publishing from my mobile phone.
Some examples: http://www.mywebsite.nl/xmlrpc/index.php
http://mywebsite.nl/xmlrpc/index.php
http://www.mywebsite.nl/plugins/xmlrpc/movabletype.php
http://mywebsite.nl/plugins/xmlrpc/movabletype.php
But none of these seems to do the trick ?
Any ideas ?

Kind regards,

Edwin

33 Server error 801 from getUserBlogs (authentication
Hello there, thank you for the MovableType API.

I use Joomla 1.5.22 and MovableType 2.3.3 and it worked well after downgrading PHP to 5.2.9-2 instead of the version 5.3.3 I used.

However only my user worked. All other users got Server error 801(authentication error) using Windows Live Writer. The only way I got it to work was changing line 1259 in plugins/xmlrpc/movabletype.php commenting out $user->activation check.

//Check Status
if(empty($user->id) || $user->block){ // || !empty($user->activation)){
return false;
}

Is not those users to be done activate?

It is correct that the field of activation is empty though it understands when jos_users of the data base is seen.
Or, is there a method of doing activate without emptying the field of activation the user?
I do not know it.

I will release a new version soon. However, the part doesn't change.

They can activate themselves using a link provided in an email sent when they create an account. This is the difference compared to my user account wich I activated as an administrator.

I'm new to Joomla so I don't know how the fields are used.

Thanks.

When a new user is registered

Joomla is doing
$user->block to 1
$user->activation to random character string

When a new user is activated

$user->block to 0
$user->activation to empty

Are you installing another any extensions that relate to the user's registration?

The method of you will be able to be said that it is not wrong. However, knowing that it is usual that the field is empty might be likely to be better.
