Setting the ordering of articles which have been added to duplicate categories?

Hi all
How is it possible to change the ordering of the articles which are selected for inclusion in a category as a duplicate category (i.e. where you tick to include in other categories)?
For example, if I had lots of articles in a section I could just change the order manually of the articles, set the menu item to display using "ordering", and then the articles would appear in the order I intended.
I can't see any way to change the order in which the articles which are "inserted" into the categories can be controlled?
