So I've set up JContent+ on my site however none of the articles are showing in the duplicated categories - I assume as I read on another post that this might be because you need to create the menu item by going Menu>New>JContent+ rather than Menu>New>Articles.

This is all well and good but how do I get blog layout view for sections and categories? I just can't figure it out (just installed the latest version as I was a bit out of date).

For example I have a section "General Information" and a category "Testimonials" - I want to show the Testimonials articles in blog layout. I tried all the menu options relating to categories but none gave me the option to select one specific category in blog layout (there is one which says list layout but I don't want that. (and what is mailto/sent layout?). Under section>category layout there is no option to choose the section, or the category. Very confused!

This is quite urgent so I would appreciate a quick response - I'm sure that I must be overlooking something along the way.

Thanks for the quick response - please advise how long this is likely to be, my site is due to go into beta testing this weekend and I did not realise until alpha testing that the articles weren't appearing!

Please make, and display one category to the section.

So is there any particular reason for not allowing only one category to be displayed as is possible with Joomla! default?

It's definitely a great idea to be able to show more than one in a layout, but why not give the choice to pick which ones (in much the same way as you choose which ones the articles should show in) and then hence be able to choose only one, rather than have to show everything within that section?

As I mentioned, testimonials is within General Information which also contains several others such as About Us, Legal Information and so forth.

It is just not practical on such a large site to have one category for each section - it defeats the point of even having a content management system, surely? If I had to do this you would be talking about somewhere in the region of 100 plus cases, it is just not in any way feasible.

EDIT: Not sure if I mis-read your post - do you mean that in the next release it will be possible to have articles display in blog layout for categories? If so how long will this be - if it's likely to be a while could you advise me what changes I can make to have this happen in the meantime?
