Since several days the backup fails and I see the next error in the logfile:

Succesvol: archiveren(2010-11-11-06-18-46_jbackup).De bestandsgrootte kon niet worden achterhaald./var/www/vhosts/xxxx.nl/httpdocs/plugins/system/jbackup/2010-11-11-06-18-46_jbackup.sql.gz:donderdag, 11 november 2010 06:18
(translation: backup succesful, but the filesize could not be found).

I hope someone can help me.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.22
Jbackup 1.5.3

Have you continuously failed in the backup?

It seems to fail sometimes. I also have experienced it several times. Once a month or about two degrees so. However, it seems not to fail in every day.
At present, the cause is not understood.

I have de-installed the plugin and then re-installed the latest version.
Still I get an error in my logfile:
