Hey Joomler,

First of all, this plug-in is awesome, I really love it! I've been using it to update the website of my sporting organization and it's so easy to use in combination with Windows Live Writer (WLW), everyone can do it, awesome!

However, it suddenly stopped working for me and I've been trying for days to fix it without any result (I really, REALLY tried). Here's what's happening. When I submit using Windows Live Writer I get the following error (translated from Dutch):

The response of the webserver for the method metaWeblog.newPost is invalid: (this line was in Dutch)
Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server (this line was in English)

After uninstalling, reinstalling, recreating accounts, and more of that all, I finally found out that WLW also has a logfile and I pasted what the WLW logs had to say in the end. The only thing interesting I found was the following:

Direct Access to this location is not allowed.",""

I think this is the problem, only it doesn't say WHAT the problem exactly is (i.e. which location).

My questions:
1. Do you also think this is the problem?
2. Do you know a solution to this problem?

Please confirm the following things.

1.Select Movable Type API.(not Movable Type)
2.Remote url
yoursite.com/xmlrpc/index.php

Because MovableType Plugin do not output it "Direct Access to this location is not allowed." , please try it with other extensions as Off.
MovableType Plugin and Joomla! do not have the message "Direct Access to this location is not allowed."

Thanks for the quick answer. I've double checked it and I have the Movabletype API and use mysite.com/xmlrpc/index.php as URL. I've also tried the metaWeblog plugin, that worked, ...BUT... when I e.g. post 'hello world' it will be translated to hello world by WLW (of course) but on my site I would see this: p>hello world/p> and as a matter of fact, before MovableType API stopped working, I had the same problem with that! Maybe that helps?

I've got it working again! I've downgraded to MovableType API 2.2.1 and now everything works again, ...except that the messages look very strange as a stated in my previous post (but metaweblog had the same problem). When I post 'This is a test message', the website shows the following:

pThis is a test message/p

So it strips all characters. Do you have any idea which plugin/component/settings can cause this?

It work with 2.2.1, but it is caused by other plug in not to work in 2.3.x.

I think that probably the problem of strip tags is caused by libxml.
