We have been using the XMLRPC plug-in (pkg-xmlrpc-joomla-2-0-7-for3-1-x.tar.gz) for some time successfully on Joomla (3.2.3)
Since installation in May 2015, it worked perfectly and allowed our students to edit the school website using Windows Live Writer 2012.
Recently, we had some extremely unusual issues whereby the site would not load. this was due to a bad .htaccess file, this was corrected, however we noticed after some time, the .htaccess problem would re-occur after each attempt to update the site using Windows Live writer.
The error we see while trying to connect to the site with Windows Live Writer Is:
Can't connect to your blog service
Invalid Server Response - The response to the blogger.getUsersBlogs method received from the blog server was invalid:
Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server
Please try fixing the problem and then try again
I have attempted to remove and re-install the XMLRPC module without success - I may not be removing it correctly, I am not entirely sure. (I go to manage plugins, then un-install it, followed by a re-install)
Does anyone know anything about this error, or if there is a way I can fully remove the plug-in and re-install from scratch.
