Google Docs to Joomla 1.0.x with XML-RPC 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi. I am trying to post content to my Joomla 1.0.15 site using Google Docs and its support for the Movable Type API.

I installed 2.0.0 of the plug-in and am able to see the config screen for the Mambot as shown in your tutorial. However when I try to post with Google Docs I get \"unexpected error\" (index.php) or \"unexpected repsonse type\" (movabletype.php).

My Google Docs settings are below. I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks. Mike Smith ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ).

When an error occurs even if You change setting, please send the log of the blog editor.

Thanks you.

Thanks - these changes have allowed me to post successfully to a content item in a section and category.

One last problem - the text (both intro and main) are blank. I have tried changing a few settings but no luck.

You asked for the blog editor log but I am using Google Doc and it does not offer access to any editor logs.

Hope you can help.

Thanks very much. Mike.

Hi again.

Based on other posts in this forum I tried Zoundry instead of Google Docs and it worked great. When I examined the Zoundry logs I found it has switched to Metaweblog API vs. Moveable Type API. So I tried switching to Metaweblog API in Google Docs and it worked - even though Google Docs reported an error, the content showed up in Joomla just fine.

Hope this helps.

PS - The content is showing up in \"Intro Text\" vs. \"Main Text\"...

Hi.

Another clue perhaps?

When I post to Joomla from Google Docs using Metaweblog, a fresh copy of the document is created, meaning I have to update the menus to pick up the new copy.

When I post using Zoundry the existing copy is updated which is what makes more sense.

Again Google Docs comes back with an error whereas Zoundry does not.

Thanks so much.

Mike.

Hi,

It is not possible to do even if it wants to support it now because it doesn't
know the specification of Google Docs.

Please look at here about intortext and fulltext(Main text).

Thanks.
